Engagement Shoot, Guildford.
Everyone says it..everyone feels it…..everyone thinks they take a horrible photograph. This is one of the reasons an engagement shoot is important. It might not make you completely comfortable in front of the camera but it will
reassure you that you really don’t look as bad or as uncomfortable as you think you do. Proof below. Well done guys! See you next month for the real thing!

Family Portraiture
I’ve always wanted to photograph on a railroad track, but in Britain, you’re likely to get arrested, electrocuted or flattened if you step foot on one. In South Africa, however, it’s a little easier. This track was disused. No children were killed or maimed in my fulfilling my photographic to do list.

Will it won’t it. The bank holiday weekend was touch and go with rain but all five of the weddings we covered that weekend managed to get away without a single drop once the wedding itself had started. Such was the case with Stacy and Craig where a small downpour threatened the ceremony just minutes before Stacy arrived and then dried up in time for her walk up to the church. We didn’t see another drop all day. Ravenswood has beautiful grounds and coupled with a relaxed and photogenic Bride and Groom, it was a great day.
Hampton Court Palace Wedding Photography – Sam and Lindsey
You don’t get much grander than Hampton Court Palace. On a Saturday during the August bank holiday you’d also expect all the photos to be dotted with hundreds of tourists. The Palace told us we were not to tell the tourists to move out of the shots so the plan was to embrace the fact that we were at a tourist location and to make the photos look busy but in an arty way. However, the tourists were far too polite and parted like the Red Sea whenever the couple moved within range and so the one shot I didn’t actually get that I wanted, was the busy tourist shot! I think the palace may have frowned on me asking the tourists to get back INTO the picture!! Ah well. Best laid plans and all that. Hopefully I managed to capture the epic look that Lindsey was after.
