A SENSE OF STYLE

Style is a very difficult thing to try and describe.   While I favour a more natural look in my photographs I am  keenly aware that natural doesn’t always come naturally to our clients nor to the realites of some wedding days.    Sometimes great things happen, other times great things are made to happen.  Either way, I respect your day as being more than a collection of photographs and so I aim to make the formal photographs as quick and painless as possible while striving to create something unique that you would be proud to show off to your friends and family.   I can tell that doesn’t answer your question….ok.   Well I can’t be pushed to pin it down to a single style, so I guess it’s a touch of tradition with a good dose of reportage, a refreshing sprinkling of  drama and a twist of  “different”    Does that help?  No?  Have a look at the galleries to decide for yourself.

AN INVESTMENT

When you want something to last forever you don’t go to the lowest bidder and hope for the best.  Nor do you throw caution to the wind and pay over the odds to someone simply because you mentioned the word wedding.  A full time wedding photographer will price their packages sensibly balancing their ongoing costs and experience with the current market value of their product, just as any business would.  In this age of cheap and incredibly good digital cameras it is very tempting for people to rely on family members of friends who they think have a good eye for photography.

They may take fantastic landscapes, but mountains don’t move.
They may take gorgeous pictures of babies, but if one shot doesn’t work they’ll just set up another and another until they get it right.
They may have taken an extraordinary shot at your friend’s wedding but did they get lucky.  Could they do it walking backwards in the rain with almost no available light?

A wedding day is an incredibly fast moving and changeable environment. It requires experience to be able to anticipate your next move and be in the right place to capture it first time.  Aside from taking your photographs, behind the scenes we may need to negotiate with ministers, registrars, caterers, bands, and toastmasters so that every aspect of your wedding day coverage is the best that it can be.  As good as your friend may be, they simply don’t have this experience or indeed access on the day which hopefully is why you’re here reading this.

I run an open and honest business.  I am not interested in trying to hide anything from you.  If  your question is not covered below, please feel free to ask.

Deposit:
Once your date is confirmed as available we will send you some paperwork.  We ask for a 25% deposit to secure the date but all of this is clearly laid out on the confirmation paperwork you will receive.

Copyright:
All packages include a DVD-ROM of all the images taken.  With this disc comes the right to print or duplicate the photographs at your leisure for personal use only.  We call it shared copyright.  While you own the photographs on the disc and ,  Just Imagine reserves the right to claim ownership of the images for the purposes of competitions, advertising or other promotional material with your permission.

Some churches will insist that a licence is purchased in order to allow a videographer to film during the service.  We do not know what this is for, but can assure you that Just Imagine will not charge any licence fee  for filming or using music on the DVD at any time.  It is all included in the package pricing.  Just Imagine holds a licence from the MCPS/PRS.

Insurance:
Just Imagine holds public liability insurance to the tune of £2.5 million.  This covers us in the event of one of your guests being injured
All of our equipment is professionally insured and can be replaced quickly in the event of a breakage.  However, on the day of a wedding, a second camera is always used in the event of a malfunction or breakage of the first camera.

Mileage:
We offer 80 miles free of charge from GU6.   Thereafter we charge 50p per mile.

Illness:
We have covered almost 300 weddings in the past six years and have never missed a wedding, let alone because of illness.  In the exremely rare event that I am hospitalised, another photographer will be assigned to you at no additional cost.  We have had a network of professional photographers that we can call on in emergencies since the company was started but have yet to make use of them.
